The Company approaches its corporate social responsibility based on the following principles:

 

01 Practice corporate governance

Establishment of an effective governance framework and adoption of ethical standards in line with Corporate Governance Best Practice Principles, Ethical Corporate Management Best Practice Principles, and Guidelines for the Adoption of Codes of Ethical Conduct to perfect corporate governance.

02 Develop a sustainable environment

Adequate protection of the natural environment and firm commitment to sustainability goals in the execution of business activities and internal management pursuant to environmental laws and internationals standards.

03 Sustain the greater good for society

Compliance with applicable laws and regulations and international human rights covenants (e.g., gender equality, the right to work, and prohibition of discrimination.

04 CSR information disclosure

Full disclosure of relevant and reliable CSR information pursuant to applicable laws and regulations and Corporate Governance Best Practice Principles for TWSE/TPEx Listed Companies with the ultimate goal of enhancing information transparency.

In recognition of the rising global green tides and in earnest pursuit of a clean production environment to ensure the safety and health of our employees, we are committed to green design, energy conservation, occupational disaster prevention, and health management, as well as to the promotion of environmental and occupational safety and health management activities in a prudent manner while we strive for sustainable development. Zero conflict minerals

We are committed to not using conflict minerals. We vet the Company's supply chain to ensure that our materials contain neither gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), and tin (Sn) that are mined from conflict mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo nor minerals that are illegally obtained. We require our suppliers to use non-conflict minerals, and, by means of investigations, reminders, and demands, we nudge our suppliers to take appropriate actions to ensure that the raw materials we use do not contain conflict minerals.

We provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and strive to remove risk factors so as to prevent occupational hazards.

Products & Services

We take responsibility for our products and services, and we uphold our ethics in marketing to ensure the transparency and security of the information about our products and services and to prevent our products or services from harming consumer rights, health, and safety.

Customer Rights

We shall comply with relevant laws and regulations and international standards for the health and safety of customers, customer privacy, marketing, and product labeling, and we shall not act in a manner that is detrimental to consumer rights.

Consumer Privacy

We comply with the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations, respect the privacy of consumers, and safeguard the personal information provided by consumers.

Procurement conduct

We evaluate the environmental and social impact of our procurement practices on the communities from which we purchase, and we work with our suppliers to carry out our corporate social responsibility.

Human rights protection

Compliance with internationally recognized labor rights and confirmation that the manpower utilization policy does not contain differential treatments based on gender, religion, race, socioeconomic status, age, or marital and family status to achieve equality and fairness in employment

Conflict of interest prevention

Formulation of anti-conflict of interest policies and provision of proper channels for directors or managerial officers to state potential conflict of interests with the company on their own initiative.

Confidentiality obligations

Confidentiality obligations shall apply to information pertaining to the company itself or its suppliers and customers unless disclosure is authorized or legally mandated.

Fair Trade

Suppliers, customers, competitors, and employees shall be treated fairly. It is strictly prohibited to obtain improper benefits from the manipulation, nondisclosure, or misuse of information acquired in the course of duties, misrepresentation of important matters, or other unfair trading practices.

Protection of company assets and guarantee of affective and lawful use for official purposes

Legal compliance

The Company shall reinforce compliance with the Securities and Exchange Act and other applicable laws and regulations.

Disciplinary measures

The Company shall handle violations of its code of ethical conduct by adopting adequate disciplinary measures set out herein in addition to disclosing such incidents on the Market Observation Post System in a timely manner. A grievance mechanism shall be set up as a redress channel for violators.

Reporting unethical conduct

Intensified education on ethical concepts and encouragement of employees to report suspected or detected violations of applicable laws and regulations or the code of ethical conduct to the right personnel; Protection of whistleblowers against retaliation to ensure their safety.
